Spitzbuben-cookies with Marmetube



200g butter

300g flour

1 pinch of salt

100g ground almonds
150g sugar

1 pack of vanilla sugar

2 eggs

200g Marmetube of your choice

Powdered sugar to sprinkle on top

Flour for handling the dough


  1. Add butter, flour, salt, ground almonds, sugar and eggs into a bowl

  2. Use a dough hook to knead the mixture into dough, use hands if needed 

  3. Put dough in the fridge for 30 minutes ⁠

  4. Sprinkle your work surface with flour and roll the dough out on it

  5. Use a cookie cutter of your choice to cut out some motifs. Use a smaller cutter to cut smaller motivs into half of the cookies

  6. Bake cookies at 175° for around 8-10 minutes and let them cool off

  7. ⁠Squeeze some Marmetube on the cookies without hole, put one with a hole on top of it as a lid and press it carefully. Do this with all cookies

  8. Sprinkle some powdered sugar on top before serving
